reading is not a crime

alright
I read too much
can knock out two three four novels
a week
doesn’t matter what it is
if its words
I’m reading
I know this can be a little
irritating
to the general public of my life
but
I
can’t
stop
and I won’t
reading is not a crime
I do however have to listen
to
the lecture
you really need to move you know
you really need to pay attention
to your life
your gona wake up one day and it will all be over
blah blah blah
half the time I tune it out
especially if I’m at a good scene
one that wraps me up
and makes me there
and then I nod and say uhuh and
I know I know
and back in goes my nose
how
does one explain to a nonreader
what reading is
how it can pick you up and sweep you
into another time and place
how the words laid out on a page
can
jump into your heart
bringing laughter and tears
with a turn of the page
a miracle this
this thing we have called
reading
and I shall read
till I die
till my eyes poke out of my head
and
dream the big dream
of
doing it myself
but
a little exercise is not
a
bad
idea

My father taught me to read when I was four -
by the time I was six, he taught me to read between the lines...we were a bane on my mother, with our newspapers spread to overlapping on the table, lol... I am so grateful to him! Keep reading - it opens up all times and all places to us!

Yeah I can't stop reading either. Imagry on a page is so much more vivid for me than in a movie or TV. Maybe that is because I can visualize it my way, instead of the directors way. Don't know, don't care. Just keep reading.

Excellent Josie,
I am guilty I read and
write every second I can get
I read some where those that read
stay younger andlive longer for
the mind is what ages
us.
Love it this was good
