American-Made

Our first genes are inherited!

I was born and raised in the USA--
one-hundred-per-cent American-made.
Momma was Irish; Dad was Cherokee.
If you think my temper's mild, think again . . .
at the drop of a pen, ready to roar.
I have tamed that spirit forevermore.
I was born and raised in the USA--
one-hundred-per-cent American-made.
Momma loved potatoes; Daddy loved corn.
Me, thirty-five, both gone, passed. I still mourn.
Wouldn't be here had they never met, wed.
I am who I am through examples they led.
I was born and raised in the USA--
one-hundred-per-cent American-made.
The cooking Ma did was with Southern pride;
the things Daddy taught me dwell deep inside.
There is no greater thing than family . . .
every little sapling honors the tree.
I was born and raised in the USA--
one-hundred-per-cent American-made.
