| Being an avid gardener, this is one of my favorites, your last stanza perfect, ending this piece in a way that ties everthing else together. Wonderful poem! |

melissa,
I enjoyed this piece very much, I must say I enjoy your work sincerely, stapled in individual colors, scented like none but you. I respect an awful lot, when i find something truly distinct, it shows me it truly came from within, rather than without, I enjoy your heart, and the singing it produces upon parchment,Please know this about me, I do not mix words nor does flattery know my mind, please know my sincereity when I state, I feel your writing on a differing level than most!In the old days i reckon we just called it soul! Maybe not very flowery, but nevertheless i think you may just know what i mean. You as well have a flow which appears natural rather than composed.Rare and good.
sincerely

Melissa,
This is so calming, and your flow is always like a peaceful song!
The last stanza...
"For a man can be strong
even holding a flower…
And the one planting seeds
knows the feel of its power."
I love the way that made me feel!
Hugs,
Maria |

| Oh, Melissa.. this is absolutely one of the gentlest, most quietly beautiful writes I've read in a long while.. I love how you used the adjective "fertile" as a noun.. poetry grows and prospers when we explore words in different ways, I believe.. I had such 'mind pictures' here.. such a peaceful feeling. Wonderful work. katy. |
