A Moment, Vulnerable

I am in need
For someone to hold me
Rocked like a baby
To croon and enfold me

To brush my hair
Out of my eyes
Sing me to sleep
With sweet lullabyes

Make it ok
When I feel weak
Dry my tears
From off of my cheek

To find some beauty
In my smile
To lay beside me
For just a while

And for the times
That I can't cope
Someone to gird me
And give me hope

Stroke my brow
Lain upon thy breast
With words of love
As I, there, rest

A child of dreams, a child of life...
To have found the child within, sometimes
returnes us to the child of with out...
