David kept his father's sheep in the vast fields. He became a very good shepherd, killing a bear and a lion, David was also skillful. God sent Samuel the prophet to anoint one of Jesse's sons to become the next King of Israel. David's Father was sure that one of his seven sons, excluding David ( David being the youngest of eight ) would be chosen as the next King of Israel. However, none of the seven sons passed the test. They were all tall and handsome looking, yet God refused them. First Samuel 16:10-12 says, " Again Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel, and Samuel said unto Jesse, the Lord hath not chosen these. (11) 'And Samuel said unto Jesse are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and behold he keepth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, send and fetch him, for we will not sit down till he come hither. (12)  And he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy and withal of a  beautiful and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, arise anoint him, for this is he. " Yes David the shepherd boy was chosen by God to be King of Israel.

At this very moment you maybe going through your wilderness experience, suffering pain and grief. You may feel all alone, it may seem that no one really cares. Quite the contrary, your Abba Father has not forgotten you. You maybe in prison, or have been to prison and is at the point of giving up. You maybe homeless and walking the streets. You maybe unemployed with no prospects in sight. Yes the need is great amongest you. Listen! there is good news, you were predestined by God before the beginning of time. You are a chosen vessel of God. Do not allow your circumstances and situations to determine your altitude. First John 4:4 says, ' Because greater is he that isin the world, than he that is in the world. " Romans 8:37 also says, "  Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. " There is purpose and destiny on the inside and it is calling you to greatness. You are chosen to succeed, chosen to shake and move the world, with the precious gift that God has placed on the inside of you.

My challenge to you, get up brush yourself off and start walking on the road that leads to your destiny. Shake off the past using the powerful weapon of prayer and the word. Climb out of the valley of despair, by putting on the garment of praise. Trade your ashes for the beauty of the Lord. Allow Abba Father to transform your feet into hinds feet, to climb the treacherous mountains, and to leap over troops of the enemy. Encourage yourself today, look in the mirror of life and say these words, " I shall fulfill my purpose. I shall reach my destination, through Jeus Christ I am a winner, chosen by Abba Father. "
