Francis and Jean with Wilma following came and devasted many lives, destroying many homes. Leaving an after math of devastation, yet in the midst of it all we learned perseverance, and how to care about our neighbours and to become our brothers keeper again.
After the storms people from every walk of life could be seen helping their neighbours. People cooked and went tireslessly about making sure that the hungry were fed, and that every essential item was supplied. People talked much with each other, with visistations following. That Christmas having a tree with presents under it was not important, actually people were just giving God thanks for spearing us yet another time.
Now as Christmas is almost here again, it seems that we have forgotten to go and seek out our neighbours. When we cook we don't seek to feed the hungry like we used to, telephone calls well we have become so busy, the calls have become almost nil. God our Abba Father is so merciful and forgiving, He is unctioning each of us especially at this time, to reflect on what He has brought us all through. Reflect on the hardships and the devestating effects of the closure of key hotels, and business ventures that were lost. Yet God has kept and sustained us.
With Christmas being so very near, remember someone who is less fortunate than you share with them, the joy of Christmas. You may have nothing materially or even monetary, yet you have something more valuable than any of the afore mentioned, and that is the weapon of prayer! Pray for others!Call them by their name, and ask God to meet their needs, and for the Saviour Jesus Christ to become Lord of their lives. This is the best gift you could ever give for Christmas Day!
To each of you may the God of all comfort, comfort and strengthen you, in spite of what you are going through. May He heal and bring reconciliation, with deliverance, during this Christmas season! May joy and peace abide within you now and always. Merry Christmas to you and may the new year bring new beginnings to you and your household!!!!
Note: We have yet to recover from the devastating effects of the storms, please pray for us and for people every where whose lives have been affected by storms! Thank you in advance for your prayers, prayer changes things!
