The Darkest Hour

Sometimes in your darkest hour you have to take action! Step out in faith and do something that you have never done before, like the husband in this story he knew that if he did not go outside during the brunt of the storm. Even though it was risky his whole family could perish. Please do not give up "The darkest hour is just before dawn" Allow the the Lord to guide you safely through.

A family hunkered down as the brunt of the storm hit, and dakness filled the entire Island. Suddenly there was water in the living room as a chill swept in and to everyone's dismay! The board that protected one of the front windows had fallen off. Now the strong forceful winds threatened to lift the roof off the house. The moment of truth came and the husband knew that he and his sons had to go outside in what seemed like the darkest hour, because his whole family was now in grave danger.

Someone just tragically lost a loved one and is facing the darkest hour, with no words that could possibly bring comfort. The Doctor may have just given the grim news, which may seem like a death sentence. The husband who does not love his wife anymore and the entire family structure seem to be crumbling, it may feel like the darkest hour.

In your walk with God you have been faithful yet you are going through your darkest hour. Instead of things getting better it seems as if they are getting worse. You have prayed and you have fasted yet God your Father seems very far away. At this very moment you may feel all alone and that no one even cares. Just as you are about to walk away... then comes the Sweet Holy Spirit reminding you of Jesus Christ as He faced the darkest hour of His life. He too felt all alone and cried out to His Father saying "O  my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou will." Matthew 26:39 Thank God Jesus said "nevertheless"!

As you go through your darkest hour please do not give up! For though the darkest hour is over shadowing the day, the light of day is just ahead of you. Hold on to your faith for the Lord God Himself is with you. Yes it is okay to cry Yes it is even okay to vent, release all the hurt and pain! just do not give up. The darkest hour is just before dawn, your suffering has been great and your losses many! but your darkest hour is transforming into the light of day! Stay connected to your Heavenly Father through your relationship with Jesus Christ, who is enduing you with His resurrection power and wisdom to ove come! Your darkest hour is not in vain, there is a purpose in it!
