Salutations to Poet William Bonilla.

You have delivered the key to ignite the engine of political awareness.

I did enjoy the reading of "The Shortest Story Ever Told", and leave it in good company of Abraham Lincoln words: "This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it. ¯ Abraham Lincoln"

In respect and admiration,

Someone, Mr. Bonilla, should dissent from this 'love fest' and it might as well be me. Your story is too short. It needs the rest of the sentence. "We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union", etc. and that other important part about our 'common good' ... So odd that we would be doing the Oligarch's will as if we were Hessian mercenaries. 'Big' government is just a front for the monied class and our founding fathers warned us against a) corporations b) political parties c) standing armies - even so, I admire your passion - I just think it misdirected against
We The People, who are (supposed to be) the government. Thus our passion and frustration are used against ourselves. Best ...

Sorry Mate, I can't make a sensible comment.

Aussie is too far from everyday USA.

But we certainly join in your horror of recent catastrophies.
