“Be Not Afraid”

Wondrous is the setting that my eyes do behold! In the midst of Thy Presence is set a beauty beyond compare. The night unfolds and there is peace and tranquility. As I gaze out in wonder at all that I see, there is presence in the air. Beautiful majestic pine trees raise their arms upward in praise of Thy holy name. The skies are full of the changing of warm winds that give way to a turbulent storm that makes the air much colder. I gaze out and watch the storm clouds roll across the evening skies all aglow with bolts of lightning. There is much force in Thy winds that take a hold of this night. I pray keep safe my ways, Oh Lord. I recognize Thy power and might. I pay homage to Thy holy name. I am afraid, Oh Lord. Keep me safe and shelter me from the storm that rages over my life. Serenely I offer up my prayers and supplications. Oh Lord, Thou art majestic in all Thy ways. You take a hold of the mighty pine trees that I see and give support. They are rooted in and securely are holding tight to the grounds that support their roots. I say to You, Oh Lord. “ Keep me firmly rooted in Thy ways, Oh Lord. I too, like unto the pine trees hold tightly in Your ways.” The night air is full of movement. I see birds flying quickly in order to seek shelter from the storm. A chipmunk scampers so quickly on the ground to find a place free from the heavy rains that shall fall this night. A whispy squirrel carrying nuts to hide and store; climbs to the highest tree, a shelter from the high winds. Leaves whirl and spiral downward to rest and blanket Thy earth. Whirlwinds of beautiful colors of autumn’s end dance as each leaf falls. There is beauty that can not be described, only felt in the heart. I seek Thy protection over my life this night. Shelter me from the storm, Oh Lord. Give voice to my ears and let me hear Thy ways, Oh Lord. “I am power and might. I am the Lord, your God. I am the storm clouds, the night skies all aglow with lightning that echoes from above. I am one season changing into another. I am autumn’s end transforming before your eyes into winter’s call. Be not afraid for I am with you. Trust in Me and I shall shelter you from the storms of life. I am omnipresent in all that you see. I am the tall majestic pine trees that upwardly reach in higher places. I am the winds that move throughout this night. My peace, I give to thee. Trust in Me and know that I am God. My hand I hold over thee this night. I am the shelter from the storms of life. Though the tempests of this storm rages this night, in morn shall appear the newness of a new day. The sun shall shine and the clouds shall clear the sky. The rains shall cease. Learn to trust in Me and be not afraid. I am in full control. My mighty hand alone balances all of my creation. I am the Lord, your God.” I am so moved by Thy Presence, Oh Lord. In all that I see this night, I give praise to the Creator of it all. The storms may rage and the tempests may be high, yet my God is here. He knows His own and they are called by name. This night I give Thee praise and worthy are Your ways, Oh Lord. Majestic pine trees, beautiful leaves so gently falling, you set before my eyes a beauty beyond compare. I shall rest under the pine trees and there I shall find shelter from the storm. Be not afraid and know that I am God…

Very nice! If we but take time out to be silent, we too will hear the Holy Spirit's voice, ever so gentle, filling us with inspiration. You are truly blessed, Valerie...keep listening to that still small voice.
