REG - my first thought was that if there is any universal language, it is MUSIC - said to soothe the savage beast - but then, when you delve a tad deeper - is not Music a complex form of Mathematics?

Which then perhaps is both a Science, as well as Applied Linguistics -

If everything in the Universe is ENERGY - and Thoughts become Energy, and
Energy = All things --> E = Mc2 --> then Love is also a form of Energy -->

Ergo, if God Is Love, then could Love be the Ultimate Universal Language?

YES, those days of youth & innocence - before we learned to question and over-analyze everything!

During my hospital stay last month, a priest came to my room when it was dark and quiet, and I was SCARED - a Confession & Communion felt REALLY GOOD!

Although it had been many many years, the words from Rote memory flowed effortlessly - a good Act of Contrition -

I spent 16 years as a volunteer in the choir at The Cathedral of MARY OUR QUEEN, here in Baltimore, and believe me - we always made a JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD - AND HIS MOTHER!

While I no longer pay homage to the hierarchy and mystique of the Church Proper - I do miss the Pomp and Ceremony - the Ritual - the Concept of WORSHIP - the inner Quietude of BELIEF of something GREATER than ourselves.

Pontius Pilate and Jesus

A major socio-political development during the reign of Tiberius and Sejanus was the Judean governorship of Pontius Pilate, and the emergence of Jesus Christ and the Christian religion that followed. Skipping down several paragraphs:

Though the facts of the historical Jesus and the life of Pilate are debatable, it is quite clear that had Jesus lived, he would've faced crucifixion after the fall of Sejanus. By late 36 Pilate had been recalled to Rome, though perhaps fortunately for him, Tiberius died while he was en route. By that reasoning the historical Jesus must have been crucified between 32 and 36 AD. Regardless, of the 'truth' of the matter, the story of the Christ spread from this point and throughout the Roman world. Initially under the missions of men such as James and Paul, the fledgling faith spread first among the Jews than into the eastern provinces. Under Peter, Christians began to appear in Rome and within approximately 400 years, the cult that started under mysterious circumstances during the reign of Tiberius, and Sejanus, was the dominate faith of the western world. As for Pilate, after his recall from Rome, virtually no evidence exists of his fate. Stories of his conversion to Christianity, suicide out of guilt or to avoid punishment are completely unverifiable and Pilate disappears from the historical record with the passing of Tiberius.

What have I done lately to help animals? Not much - in fact, very little - but each day I do click the FREE FOOD . Pet Paws - and about a month ago, I realized I have a new Roommate in my trailer - a fat little tan-colored FIELD MOUSE.

Thank God I live alone, as a woman's first inclination would be to set some TRAPS and KILL that little sucker! But, there's plenty of room for two, and while cleaning and moving things this Friday past, I found several EMPTY peanut shells on the floor in the corner of the kitchen. So, now I know where to occasionally say OOPS! and drop a morsel or two!

In Honor of the fat lil mouse in Cinderella, I just named him GUS! Winter is coming, and as long as he doesn't leave me any 'presents' in my own personal eating areas - we will celebrate a TRUCE!

Maybe I'll use this info to write a little ditty - GUS N' ME - we'll see!

For a month now, since hospital - have worked hard on changing habits - Eliminated a few BAD ones - less COFFEE, less WHITE breads, less GREASY foods & greasy WESTERN FRIES with melted CHEDDAR (really miss these guys, not even ONE in a month), less cane sugar, LESS IS MORE!

ADDED a lot of good ones - more Water, Fruit, Veggies, Juices, Soy milk, Soy butter, Soy crackers, Rice crackers, GREEN TEA, Honey, Agave Nectar, and more ...

Now shop . Trader Joe's & Whole Foods - tad more expensive, but healthier, and I like both stores - variety blows my mind!

And guess what - KNEES have been BETTER too! NO PAIN PILLS for bursitis for a whole month - SOMETHING must be more GOODER!

OH - YEAH - I hereby give you Special Dispensation for playin' Hookey from Church - SAY 3 Our Fathers - 53 Hail Marys (a Rosary) - 1 Glory Be - spin around 3 times - click your heels - eat 2 Apples - and CALL ME IN THE MORNIN'!
