Loving one hard is easy;
Keeping one's heart soft is not.
For in the depths of loving hard,
it is easy to forget
the person you were
and will be...
in the heat of loving hard;
While trying to stay soft...in the heart
toward one so different
yet so alike.
We, two kindred spirits
sparking a brighter flame
together;
yet that needing...wanting...to be different
in the very act of loving one hard
can harden the heart
if one is not careful.
So love hard and easy,
but always stay soft in the heart
for only then
will you truly know
love of one other than yourself.
