Drug traffickers and money launderers (as the middlemen) seek out professionals who are willing to sidestep regulations that authorities put into place. In many cases, the money launderers and traffickers have managed schemes where the professionals in banks and governments were not even aware that they were dealing in dirty money.

This is all pretty interesting information, and makes me wonder a bit about your books. It seems like someone of your experience could make a good living being a consultant to other authors looking to add realism.
