You know when your manscript folds between the covers and turns into a masterpiece, you get sort of anxious to lay it in a few hands. Then it happens, Ingram has it available and here we go.
The world stands before you and it is
all up to the author for we stand alone.
Oh, we begin to wonder who has read my
book.Time goes by while we are trying to act busy since the carpet has been pulled out from under.
Man's best friend isn't his dog, it's his computer with his dog.Once in a while Starter lets out a growlish groan to let me know he is near. And sometimes he lets me know he is near without a sound. That's when his master has to take him for a stroll.
I have many puter friends that I am beginning to say the words,"I know
he knows Fatal Addiction has come out?
He told me to let him know and I did.Why don't I hear from some of my buddies who were looking for the book?"
Have they read it? Did they not like it?"
And all those crazy thoughts pop up until I suddenly sit up and take notice of a maybe? Is this what I have been looking for?
The subject says, (I've Got Mail)
Now that's original, maybe.
And so it is.This I have to share from a
friend that had Rita tear up his property, he's been clearing off the
left overs and takes time to order and read FATAL ADDICTION.
EVERETT, I GOT FA LATE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AND HAVE JUST FINISHED THE FIRST CHAPTER...ALREADY I SEE THAT YOU ARE VERY GOOD AT PAINTING A PICTURE WITH WORDS....THE FIRST CHAPTER IS GREAT AT SETTING THE TABLE FOR THE FULL COURSE MEAL THAT IS TO COME IN THE LATER CHAPTERS...
THANKS FOR LISTING ME AS ONE WHO ARE JOINING YOU AND OTHERS IN THE FIGHT TO ELIMINATE DRUG ABUSE...AND THANKS TO YOU FOR HAVING THE GUTS TO WRITE A STORY LIKE FATAL ADDICTION..
OLEBUZZARD
My thanks to Bob Williams, a survivor
of Rita and a gentleman. If I knew where you live in Orange, Texax I would come out to help you. Don't count on it Bob as I have already begun the next book.
You'll never know how much I appreciated
this e-mail.
So my day is made with this gentleman's response. He knows that I have had many more but these are folks that swap jokes many times a week. A closeness that is hard to explain. The kind that if they skip a week you begin to wonder if they are okay?
It takes a lot of hard work promoting a new book. The other day after I returned from a mini-tour in the mountains, I had an email in the stack that got my attention.
The guy was interested in producing a screenplay or movie of Fatal Addiction.
He said he had two producers very interested in Fatal Addiction.
Got me very excited especially after my trip had tired me so much. That brought life into this body and I have learned, don't count the chickens 'fore they hatch, not even the eggs.
It is fun being an author bumping into so mnany folks you knew in the past.I hate to play the guess who game?
Damn, I don't believe they would have known me if I hadn't had my picture on the back cover and on all the posters
with name, book cover and another picture. This is a distinct disadvantag to the author, but a game I enjoy.
Why should I know them? But
I always say,"I never forget a pretty face." That gets me out of trouble most of the times unless it's an ugly old man.I do make exceptions.
Thanks for sharing,
Everett Beal Rph.
