. . . Fall is the season that beholds the breathless anticipation of colors, holidays, football and reflections of my time at Notre Dame . . .
I am honored to be an alumni of the University of Notre Dame, especially when the fall seasons ushers in the majestic artistry of color that fills the campus, while the college football season begins. Notre Dame football inspires nostalgic reflections of my time there. The gorgeous golden leaves, in all their splendor, highlighted with brilliant red and vibrant orange, as they dance through the breeze on their artistic journey to the earth's floor. As a student, I loved sitting outside by the lake watching the leaves take their final performance. Always overwhelmed by such beauty, I'd stop to kneel at the Grotto on my way to class.
. . . Everywhere I looked on campus, the beauty was overwhelming and all crowned by the reflection of the Gold Dome. . .
The University of Notre Dame is not just one of the finest educational institutions, but an experience, framed on a visual canvas with amazing colors splashed upon it. It's beauty and deep rooted sense of great purpose is never forgotten by me. So it's not a mere coincidence that my heart beats quickly when I see the 'Fighting Irish' come onto the field. Mainly, I am moved by the pictorial shots of this most beautiful panoramic campus. Then, for a few hours, it's like I return to my youthful time at Notre Dame, re-connecting to the landscape and experiencing the highlights of this marvelous place. Always overwhelmed with gratitude, again, I am living in the spirit of hope while celebrating all the wonderment that surrounds Notre Dame football. © Copyright L.K. Craft
