Interview at WKPP New York with Super radio talk show host Bobby Stewart

Stewart:  Good early early morning ladies and Germs.  It's another great New York morning.  We have with us as our guest the star of the new very poignant film that a lot of people says is Academy Award material, CATS AND MEOWS, MS FIFI LAROUCHE

Fifi:  Thank you Bobby.  I'm so glad and excited to be in the Apple.  There's no city in the whole world like New York.

Stewart:  So Fifi you're here to accept the Utopia Award for best Hollywood newcomber.

Fifi: Absolutely the Utopias used to be given out in LA but I guess it was moved to New York last year because New Yorkers don't like being second fiddle to LA even in the entertainment business.

Stewart:  (chuckling) You're right Fifi.  Us New Yorkers hate being second fiddle to anyone.  They've been making almost as many pictures out here as they have in Hollywood.  When it comes to top film schools, out there you got USC but we have NYU which almost has as it's alumni as many Hollywood big shots as SC.  Who knows one day maybe the Oscar ceremonies will be out here.

Fifi:  Oh I highly highly doubt if LA will let the you people take the Oscars

Stewart: (laughing) Allright but you never know.  CATS AND MEOWS IS JUST AN EXCELLENT MOVIE.  A movie about a girl who grows up in a disfunctional family but despite becomes a world famous concert pianist.  I have to admit I loved your acting.  May I inquire do you play the piano?  You did an excellent job on the film.

Fifi:  I'm sorry Bobby but I just played around with the keys while a professional pianist made all the music.  I do think I can sing but no I don't play the piano.

Stewart:  So Fifi this is your first major role?  I guess from your bio you were doing a lot of auditoning and was working as a waitress at a Sherman Oaks coffee shop?  You also graduated from Quincy? 

Fifi:  Bobby this is not my first major role.  THIS IS MY FIRST ROLE, CHARACTER OR LEAD ROLE.  THE ONLY TIME BEFORE THIS FILM I WAS IN FRONT OF A CAMERA WAS AS AN EXTRA.  AND YES I THINK I'M ONE OF THE FEW COFFEE SHOP WAITRESSES WHO HAS A QUINCY DEGREE.

Stewart: (chuckling) For a first time actress you have a very strong following.  Paparazzi follow you all over the place.  Besides having a lot of talent what makes you so popular compared to other young actors?

Fifi: (with a smirk on their face) Bobby EINSTEIN WAS DIFFERENT, EDISON WAS DIFFERENT, MOZART WAS DIFFERENT, THE BEATLES WERE DIFFERENT, JANIS JOPLIN WAS DIFFERENT, SHAKESPEARE WAS DIFFERENT, MICHAELANGELO WAS DIFFERENT, PETER SELLERS WAS DIFFERENT, BILL GATES IS DIFFERENT, BOGART, DEAN,  AND BRANDO WERE DIFFERENT, I'M DIFFERENT.  I'M NOT FITTING ANYBODY'S COOKIE CUTTER.  I mean I'm like 28 and have hardly been kissed.  But I do get a little tired of all this paparazzi nonsense

Stewart:  (laughing) Of course of course geniuses all have that common charactarestic of being a little 'eccentric.'  I mean I'm a little eccentric myself.  I've been doing this radio talk show stuff since the 60s.  I never could see me myself being that 'clean shaven' guy coming from work at 6 in the afternoon with a suitcase and a wife and 2 kids...........

Fifi:  Yeah and how old is your current wife Bobby, a few years younger than me?

Stewart: (laughing) Fifi that's a little low................

Fifi: Just kidding Bobby, just kidding.

Stewart:  So tell me Fifi now that your a superstar what kind of projects can we expect to see you make in the near future?

Fifi:  Well my agent said something about the lead role in an upcoming big budget Sci Fi called 'Space Invaders.'  I play a very evil alien queen who leads a powerful invasion force and who tells the people of Earth that they will submit to her or face the consequences, you know nuclear destruction.

Stewart:   As an actress is getting into the right mood easy?

Fifi:  Oh Bobby it's not easy at all.  I mean when I do a sad take, I have to think like sad things so I can feel sad.  Like a couple of days ago I was feeling real happy listening to some old rock tunes when I drove by the scene of an auto accident.  I mean I turned from happy to sad.  That's how it is as an actress, you have to be able to put yourself in all kinds of different moods.  My chakras have to feel like you know not aligned.

Stewart: Your chakras?

Fifi:  Of course you know the energy centers in our body.  When they're aligned you feel good but when they're not aligned.............

Stewart:  (smiling and extending his hand)  FIFI YOU ARE ONE OF THE MOST ENTERTAINING GUESTS I HAVE EVER HAD.  MY AUDIENCE AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU COME BACK IN THE NEAR FUTURE.  GOOD LUCK IN THAT UPCOMING SCI FI FILM

Fifi:  Thank you Bobby and in I would like to address your audience.  ALL YOU PEOPLE NEED TO EXCERCISE AND EAT HEALTHY FOODS SO YOUR CHAKRAS ARE WELL BALANCED. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO HAVE UNBALANCED CHAKRAS ALL THE TIME.
