Gorba’s Gift, From the childrens book I'm currently writing Cobblepot And Friends (A Wizards Tale)
Gorba’s Gift
When Moldagart and Gorba arrive at the misty woods Gorba asked to see the goddess of nature. So Moldagart opens the opening to her kingdom and Gorba entered the passage. As he entered the tunnel he could see a green light at the end, as he came closer he could see the elves were kneeling before the goddess. A short time later Gorba enters the chamber of the nature goddess and there standing amongst the wild flowers was the goddess lady Minerva with two white unicorns.
Then the goddess approached the little Snarliff. Greetings little Snarliff you are a long way from home my little one. Gorba replied yes my lady. Gorba kneeled before the goddess and held out his paw and in his paw was a seed he look at the goddess and said you know I am but a humble Snarliff and I have nothing to offer you goddess of all that is powerful and green and Gorba then placed the seed before the goddess and said this is my gift to you.
The goddess looks at the little Snarliff smiled and placed her hand over the seed, and the seed sank into the earth and as the Snarliff watched a small sapling appeared from the surface of the earth and started to grow towards the heavens and the Snarliff watched in awe of the goddess of all that was powerful and green. The sapling grew bigger and shortly the sapling had grown into the biggest mulberry tree, the little Snarliff had ever seen. Then the goddess called to the elves sow these seeds across my kingdom and let it be known that Snarliff’s are now welcome in misty woods from this day forth. Then she look at the little Snarliff as a single tear rolled down her cheek and fell to the earth, no one has ever given me a gift before thank you little Snarliff I will treasure it always. Then little Snarliff greeted the goddess good day and lady Minerva thanked the little Snarliff once more for his gift then Gorba left the chamber, and made his way back through the passage where he came from and headed towards his friend Moldagart waiting for him on the other side.
