I had an interesting email this morning. It was from someone who saw the episode on MTV last night in which they had highlighted three teenagers with Autism....
This man was moved by the story and wanted to find Johnathan, the boy with autism, that loved to create art. I researched for quite a while to help to find the boy... but it seems they are keeping his identity private. This man also wanted to see (or own) art by that was created by the boy. My son was not on MTV, but he loves to create beautiful art. The picture posted is my son, Andrew, when he was 7 years old. (he's now 8) He climbed into bed so he would be in his comfy-cozy place when I took his picture with his new art. It is a picture of all of his friends climbing up, and sliding down a huge slide. He is the smiling face in the middle. I have a book that I put together of art made by Andrew and his friend, Caitlyn. Please email me if you'd like a free book showing art by kids with autism - and their thoughts behind the work.

| I would be glad to accept some of the arts by kids with autism. It is really my interest how these kids relate themselves to their environment. They are so smart that other people do not understand their intellectual capabilities. They can see patterns that we do not see. These people are very special for me for they look life as always FUN....AOUIE |
