a brief excerpt from a piece I am still working on..... and on

Ananias walks quickly from the edge of the forest and heads over to where Zar is standing. Seth can see the anger smoldering in the scarlet eyes of the vampire. Throwing her head back Ananias lets her auburn hair fall to the small of her back. Seth finds his eyes riveted to the silver and black streaks that run through the demoness’ hair. She has one hand on her hip and the other pointed in Seth’s direction. Her fangs glisten as she opens up her mouth to speak.
“Zar doesn’t know you, Unus, as well as I do,” she growls angrily as she shakes her hand at him. “There is a purpose, a reason for your decision to bring us to this place. I want to know what that purpose is and I want to know it now!” Seth averts his eyes and lowers his head before turning away from them and facing the darken forest. With his back still turned he answers the vampire queen’s question.
“Only one wizard ever defied the Father,” Seth answers in a barely audible voice. “Only one mage ever attempted to create life from nothingness. When I witnessed Ariel’s death by Rutilus in the hands of the one you named Elliott I knew the truth but I dared not say.”
Ananias laughs a short curt laugh and grabs Zar by his arm. “The Unus has lead us to our deaths for vengeance,” she yells.
