As our friend Andy awaits his day in court on 11/6/2007 to hopefully win the right to see his son I can feel his pain.

To Andy.

You have more support than can be counted my good man. Aside from family and friends that may be near you, for you and giving you immediate moral support, you have amassed quite an assortment of as yet unmet friends right here on AD. We stand by you as well and we support you as added pillars of strength. Draw on us friend, feel our prayers and goodwill for you and Sebastian. Use us as you would a stable of the finest horses on earth, and ride us to victory.

I, maybe more than most, can feel the pain that you carry from time lost without your son, moments that can never be replaced. Knowing about you and your situation has brought back my own pain; pain that I haven't felt since 8/9/1981. My own pain led me to the depths of despair and an attempted suicide all because the mother of my children decided that I wouldn't get to see my two children. And so because children have not yet been taught to fake emotions, or to consider other peoples feelings before they act on what is so pure in them; because these actions clearly showed their mother that with me was where they wanted to be, she kept them from me. Out of pure spite and with the sadness that she must have felt when seeing them so happy with their daddy, instead of doing what was in their best interests, she stopped all contact between us. I would drive by the house just hoping to see my children playing in the yard, and if they saw me and ran towards my car I could only wave and drive away, out of sight so that I could bawl like a baby, alone and hurting.

And so my good man, trust me when I say this, I feel your pain. But unlike me, you are not alone. You have us here at AD, not just me, but US. We're a group of your friends and we are proud to stand by you in support. And I'm damn proud to call you ALL my friends. I envy you Andy, I wish I had had so much support. Your love and pain for Sebastian are so obvious to us that you have indeed proven your true self and have won us over all the way. So good luck mate, God bless, and as you look around that courtroom on 11/6, see us in your minds eye, we'll be there.

The eyes of Texas are upon you.
