Have you ever dreamed about other people and wondered what action, if any, was your dream calling you to pursue?
I had a sequence of dreams over the last month. I dreamed that a long time friend of my was having a conversation with her mother. Her mother told her that she "had done that best that she could". As in all dreams I process them as though all the images in the dream are me. So I evaluated this dream no differently. I looked at what parts of myself needed to be forgiven. I found one and was grateful to the dream.
I was surprised when the dream returned, as I thought the dream work had been completed. Same dream was asking for more. So, I looked deeper into my life to find more needs. I was yet healed of another guilt that I have been carrying around like heavy luggage. I had berried it so deeply that I was unaware I was still was holding on to it.
Well, a third time the dream returned! I began to say to myself, "Maybe this is not my dream." I also asked the dream what action was required, if any? I felt rather awkward as I thought about actually calling her and telling her about my dream for her. I bargained with myself and said I would tell her if she called me.
About an hour lated, she called! So I was faced with my decision. After we chatted awhile, I told her my understanding of repeating dreams and that I thought this dream was hers and I told her the dream. There was a long silence and then an out pouring of emotions. When she could put her emotions into words, her comment was that she had been sick with guilt for years and that she had needed her mother to forgive her. My friend accepted her mother's forgiveness and felt set free.
Both of us have been blessed by the loving grace of the dream.
More stories like this one can be read about in my book ”Dream Symbols In Waking Life" which can be viewed and ordered through the website... blurb.com/books/783979. Enjoy.
