Hello from Norway!
This is your friend, Ingrid Elsbeth Schoenfeldter, writing. I know it's been a while; let me explain as to why you haven't heard from me.
First of all, my health is something to be desired. Not getting any worse, but some days it zaps my strength; it's all I can do to keep from wanting to get out of bed. Painful muscle spasms like you wouldn't believe. Weakness, feel as weak as a newborn kitten some days; it's awful!
I have had to get a wheelchair; some days I have no choice but to use it. Other days I use my crutches (my usual mode of transportation), but I get tired easily; it's really frustrating!!
Other than that, I'm doing great! LOL
Larz, my boyfriend, continues to keep my mind focused on other things. Like thinking of what to get him for Christmas, which is next month. I am thinking of getting him a new sweater; the one he wears now is starting to get a little ratty looking. He is the best thing that's ever happened to me, as is my church; still going to church every week, love it!
I also have my family and my friends, both here and around the world. That's another thing that keeps me busy: the Internet. On days where I can function, I'm usually on the computer; it's my second home. LOL I have friends from all over the world: the United States. Mexico. Canada. Europe. Asia. Africa. It's fun meeting new people of other lands; you learn so much!!
The weather here is getting sharply colder. We've already had snow some days, and the northern lights (nordlichten) are dancing their multi-coloured tune in our northern skies; some nights the sky is nothing but a palate of bright colours that take your breath away, it's so amazing! I just love the lights; I can watch them for hours (that is, if the cold didn't drive me back inside LOL)!
Next week, Larz wants to take me to get a Christmas tree. I tell him it's too early; wait until the start of December. I guess when it comes to a holiday like Christmas, he turns into a little kid. Christmas does that to a lot of people, I suppose. :)
He says he has a surprise for me on Christmas morning; I try to worm it out of him, but he isn't speaking a word. I get so aggravated at him: I see the smile playing on his lips, the eyes twinkling, and he won't say a thing; I get so angry at him when he gets like this I want to pull his head off! He aggravates me sometimes! Yet I love him with all my heart and soul! :)
Call it a love-hate relationship. :O LOL
Today finds me feeling stronger than in recent days. Am even able to get around on my sticks, but am taking it easy. Get tired so quickly; have to pace myself. I'm just glad I haven't had that nasty flu that's been going around; I pray I don't get it!!
Think of the complications I would face if I got that flu. Hoo-boy! NOT good!!
Well, the darn phone's ringing, so I'd best answer it. I pray it isn't another sales call; I get those all the time, and it drives me inSANE! I will write in here again; until then, this is Ingrid saying so long! God bless!
