Chase away those rainy days with a few, simple tips. I do not know if this particular piece will go into my book, but this one is just for fun.

I know what you are thinking. You want to pull the sheets over your head and stay in bed. I know you are comfy laying in your bed as you hear the rain falling.   The alarm clock does not take a day off! No matter how many times you put the pillow over your head, the alarm clock will yell at you, just like your mother did when you were a child! There are ways to have fun in the rain. Try one of these things:

# 6  Take a walk in the rain, but the key is to share your umbrella with a person that you are crazy about.  Now, do not bring two umbrellas! Just bring one. There is nothing more romantic than holding on to his or her arm, pulling each other closely, and walking in the rain together under one umbrella.

#5. Hop over the puddles together, just like you did when you were a kid. You can sneak out of your office during your lunch hour to do this or even before you leave for work! It is amazing how much laughter puddle jumping and sharing an umbrella can bring.

#4 Kiss each other under the canope at a local coffee shop. There is nothing more romantic than kissing under a canope while the rain hits the pavement around you.   You might even forget that it is raining.

#3.  Turn off the television and read your favorite book together. It is not just about curling up with a good book, but it is about curling up next to the person you care about and talking about your favorite chapter.

#2. Treat him or her to their favorite hobby or sport. For example, treat the person that you are crazy about to a game of golf. Instead of nagging him or her and saying, "why are you golfing in the rain?", surprise the one that you care about by paying for a day of golf with his or her friends. Remember, a passionate golfer does not let the rain stop the game!  . If he or she is a boater, enjoys fishing or other hobbies, pick up the tab for them.  Most importantly, leave a sexy note in their wallet, purse, golf bag, boat, etc.  After all , you want the person that you are crazy about to have something to look forward to when he or she gets home! You might even want to take over some of his or her household chores and give that special person a "day off" from the chores.

#1. Surprise him or her while they are at work. Bring a picnic basket during lunch hour and convert his or her office into a park and enjoy your favorite picnic food together. .  If he or she does not have their own office, maybe you can call his or her boss and ask to use the conference room. Or, bring enough for the whole office and have a picnic right there in the cubicle! It is just another fun way to spend a rainy day. Take time to select foods that he or she would like.

I know what you are thinking...you are wondering "Did she actually do any of these things yet?" The answer is, "no," I haven't done these things yet simply because I am still single. I just want to share these tips so  that I can make a difference to people who have someone special in their life.

Instead of saying, "when will the rain end?"  figure out ways to become closer with a special person in your life.

Excellent ideas.Thank you for sharing it.Its always important for a person to be close to his or her soulmate no matter what day it is,what time it is or what weather it is.You know something,a man can recite his poem underneath an umbrella with his woman being next to him. Also a man can bring a small little radio and find a very romantic place in the park like a shade underneath a bridge. They can just slow dance to a love song from the likes of Alicia Keys,Barry White,John Legend, etc. That would be nice and it would show a woman that he really loves her

Joanna--
Well said!! I was feeling a bit down until I heard you were single lol. I want you to rewrite this when you've been married for say fifty years--like me. It's great tips but it's hard to accomplish as life often gets in the way in so many ways. All we can do is keep trying.
