Michael the Archangel Story 1
Story taken from the book "The Voices Within Us" By Jim Stewart
This story was told to me by a good friend of mine , Tom Emrick. It envolve another good friend of his, Ron.
Ron was diagnosed with full blown AIDS in the early 1980's. He liked painting and did it as a hobby. He was just an average amature artist. There was nothing special about his work. One day ron decided that he wanted to leave a legacy for his family and friends. After thinking it over Ron, decided that he was going to an oil painting for everyone to remember him by. So off to the local art store he went. After purchasing all of his supplies he went back home. He took the supplies to his little studio. He decided that he needed some coffee before he started his painting. While he was brewing his coffee he was still undecided as to what he was going to paint. Well he got his coffee and started back to his studio. That is when he noticed a glow coming from inside the office. When he walked through the door he could not believe his eyes. There stood Michael the Archangel. As ron stood in amazment Michael spoke to him and said, " I am here to pose for you. I will be your subject." Ron had never taken on anything other than apples and oranges laying beside urns. Needless to say he had never done a portrait before either. So paint he did. He did not stop for anything. Finally after a few days of around the clock painting, he was finished. Michael looked at him and said, "Thyank you myfriend. May Peace and Understanding come into your soul."
After a couple of days of rest Ron started calling all of his friends to tell them what had happened, many were in disbelief. His friends started arriving at his house and looked at his painting with amazement. The painting was stunning. A glow seemed to come off the canvas. You see the picture was perfect, every vein in the feather, every strand of hair, the look in his eyes and the lettering on the sword, which was written in Latin, was perfect. (I have seen this painting and it is amazing.) Another thing about visiting the painting is the peace and calmness that comes over you when you look at it.
A couple of weeks later, Ron, went to the doctor for his monthly check-up/check-in visit. They drew some blood and did some other test. The next day the doctor's office was calling him and wanting him to come back in as soon as he could. Well Ron hopped in his car and headed out for the doctor's office. All the while he was wondering what the doctor wa going to tell him. When he walked in the doctor came out and said, :Please step into my office. Ron was shaking because the last time he was called in like this, he was told he had AIDS. Was this to be more bad news? The doctor looked at him in his eyes and said, "Ron, yesterday when we did the blood test, we could not find any infected cells. We need to do another blood test on you." Ron looked at him and told him about what had happened a couple of weeks earlier. The doctor said, "That's great! but we still need to do another blood test on you." The test again came back negative for AIDS. It was even negative for the virus.
Here it is over 20 years ago and Ron is still AIDS negative. The painting is still glowing and seems to have some healing powers,
*Please note: I used the name Ron instead of the persons real name. He does not want the attention that this would bring him. He apologizes for this.
