Gabriel the Archangel makes his presence known to me a couple of times.

Gabriel the Archangel Comes to Me
Taken from the book,"The Voices Within Us" by Jim Stewart

Preface: I am a spiritualist. Almost all of my life I have been blessed by the presence of angels, to guide and protect me. Sometimes it hard for me to understand why me? Being a spiritualist is a 24 hour job, you are either being blessed or attacked by satan. Whenever I need encouragement to continue on, I will get a visit from an angel. They will comfort me and guide me. They always leave me with freewill to make my own decisions, but they give me hints. Sometimes I miss these roadway signs and they show up again and again until I get the message. Here is a continuation story of Gabriel the Archangel coming to me.

One day I was writing some notes down for lecture I was going to give on, "Death and Dying." I closed my eyes but my hand kept scribbling down things. I did not know what was happening. I kept my eyes closed until my hand stopped. When I opened my eyes I looked at the paper and all I say was hen scratching all over the paper. I scratched my head and threw my notes into my briefcase. The next morning I am walking  through the parking lot to my office. I look down on the ground and find a trinket. It was an angel with the head and right am missing. I decided that I was going to keep it. I was going to rescue this little angel just like they have done me on many occassions. I put the angel in my pocket. When I got to my office I opened up my briefcase and threw this little trinket in it. I then went to go get some coffee. When I came back I saw that little angel laying on top of my notes. What I saw was the trinket was laying in an outline that I scribble the previous days notes. This was a perfect outline of the trinket, headless and missing a right arm. Then I notices that I had scribbled the name Gabriel in the lower left hand corner of the page. I sat down and started crying. I knew I was in the presence of angels, but not just any angel, it was Gabriel the archangel. I started wondering what message he had for me. Gabriel stayed on my mind.

Two days later I went to give my lecture on "Death and Dying" to some Air Force Chaplains and some Civilian Chaplains. I got through my lecture a little early and some of the Chaplains wanted to hear some of my miracle stories. I started telling these stories. Then I noticed that it was approaching their break time. I did not want them to lose their break so I dismissed them. Everyone except a young man left. This young man was dressed in civilian clothes. He came up to me and said, "I brought this for you. He then handed me a sheet of paper. I glanced at it and told him that I would read it a little later. He then said, "You have one more story to tell don't you?" I told him that I just so happened to have a copy of a book I was writting and that he could have it. I told him thatthere were many stories in the book. He then looked at me and said, "Thank you, but you have one more story to tell me, don't you." I told him about finding the trinket and how it matched up with some scribblings I had done. I even told him about finding Gabriel's name on the bottom. He then looked at me and said, "I knew you had one more story to tell me. It was pretty remarkable wasn't it?" I told him, "Yes, I thought it was pretty remarkable." I then decided that I would introduce myself to him. Neither one of us had an Name Tag on. I said, "By the way my name Is Jim Stewart." He looked at me and said, "My name is Gabriel, God Bless You."I fell to my knees as he walked out the door and started crying. I then looked for the paper that he had given me.

We think, sometimes, when things don't go the right way, when we suffer a defeat, that all has ended. Not True, It is only the beginning, always. Greatness comes not when things always go good for you, but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take some knocks, some disappointments, when sadness comes. Becaise only if you have been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

Alwys give your best. Never get discouraged.

Never be petty.

Always remember, others may hate you, but those that hate youdon't win unless you hate them too and then you destroy yourself.

                                                                                     Gabriel

I tried to find this Gabriel again just to see who he was. He was at no more lectures at the seminar. I called the civilian hospitals, no chaplain by that name.

Then I said to myself, "Jim, Gabriel just gave you the message that you needed. He hand delivered it. What else do you need? Thank him."

                        --------------------------------------------------

A couple of years ago I was feeling a little depressed when I received a phone call from my wife telling me that her car had broken down and needed me to come help her. So I got in my car and headed out. When I got there, I proped the hood open, it was nightime, and used my flashlight to see if I could see what was wrong. That is when a young man in a pickup truck stopped and asked if he could help. I said sure. He said that he was a mechanic and he was just going home. He had on a car dealer shirt on. I saw that the alternater belt had busted. Her battery was dead and needed charging up. The young man said, "Hey, I got this quick charge in my truck. Let's hook her up." He got the car started. I told him I wanted to pay him for his time and help. He told me that it was his pleasure. He said that he enjoyed helping people. That is when I noticed his name tag, "Gabriel." I said, "Your name is Gabriel?" he said, "Yeah, Like in the Archangel. God Bless"

Again there was no Gabriel that worked at that dealership.

Jim, once again you remind us that we are never alone. God's hands are always helping and we only need to open ourselves to see and to tell them thanks -
Many thanks for your posts -
