Why Men Cheat

10 Reasons Men Cross the Line

                                    Why Men Cheat

Men stray in marriages for many different reasons.  Some of those reasons are explored below.

1)      Some are sexaholics

2)      A desire to make their wives jealous

3)      A need to be intimate with someone else

4)      A fear of not being able to attract another woman

5)      Some are philanders

6)      An “in love” experience

7)      Bad modeling from their fathers

8)      The need of a nursemaid to be brought into a sick marriage

9)      The cheater does it accidentally

10)  An old flame re-ignites some old sparks

There is no doubt that there are some men that are sexual addicts.  Some of these men will say they need more and better sex.  This is more than likely a sexual addiction. It  can be ever bit as strong as those addicted to alcohol, drug abuse, gambling and others.

Books, movies, porn, magazines, and a host of other things further complicate this issue with men with this problem.

In addition, the summer months bring on less clothed females and this only causes men with this problem to dwell on sexual ideations even more.

Making a wife jealous is a poor excuse to have an affair but some men use this as an excuse to do it.  The wife will sure be jealous when she senses this is happening and many times this helps to boost a man’s fragile ego.

Sometimes a man feels such a need for intimacy that they choose to have it with someone else.  Most of the times they will not realize they are doing it for this reason.  They think that they just need to have sex with a different partner.

Men sometimes feel inadequate at being able to attract any attention from other females.  They might think they are over the hill and this in itself will spur them on to flirt with women and when this is done enough times it usually pays dividends.

Then there are men that are simply philanderers and it is a game to see how many women they can bed down.  Usually these are quick relationships that end as quickly as they have started.  The thrill of conquering someone knew is the main payoff.

Occasionally a man has gotten a crush on another woman and then falls in love.  This is the most serious kind of an affair a man can have and the one his wife dreads most.  The hurt the wife suffers is devastating and long lived.  Her husband has actually rejected her and fallen in love with someone else.  Many women never recuperate from this.

Some men have grown up watching their fathers cheat and think this is what men are supposed to do.  Many times they are destined to carry on their father’s tradition.

In some cases men feel they need to bring in a nurse maid to help the ailing marriage but sadly this will only make matters worse.  What really was needed was a counselor to work with he and the wife in order to medicate this sickness with therapy.

Then other times men meet someone by accident and even though things have been okay at home, he seizes the moment and has the affair.  The wife might be out of town for a vacation or other reasons as many do today without their husbands, and thus the opportunity is presented to him, and his maleness is challenged and bingo he is in. Many times he thinks this will just be short and sweet and the wife will never know and usually that is the case.

Then a man might run into an old flame and the sparks reignite and a full fledged affair is on.  This kind of an affair can be ever bit as damaging as the old flame affair.  These are more apt to be longer and more complicated.

As can be imagined, there are many  reasons why men cross the line of infidelity.  Hopefully this brief article will serve as a reminder to how easy it is to cross that cheating line.  The consequences with several of these are steep, and the harm is irreparable and the tendency for the marriage to end is tremendous and even if this doesn’t happen still a lot of grief is seen by countless others that make up the infidelity circle.

Great article Aubrey. One thing I wanted to add...many men cheat because they are insecure. Even if they do make the leap to marry at some point, it is always in the back of their mind that it is only a matter of time before their wivese will leave them. The slightest perceived threat (maybe he thinks his wife spends too much time talking to her male co-workers), can intensify his insecurity. Therefore, he cheats as a matter of justifying what he believes his wife is only doing anyway.

And sometimes, their wives just drive them away, emotionally and physically.

Then there are those whose spiritual nature can't help notice a dejavu from another time. What happens then aubrey?

Great wisdom for all readers who are mortals. It's the immortals we have no answers for then.

Great knowledge aubrey.
