The Carbohydrate, Misconception.

Do you know what you are eating? Why is it so important?

Recently in an interview about my book when the subject of Carbohydrates was introduced, the host came back to me suggesting that surely these, are what puts the weight on.
Is this what you think?
Maybe, it is because, there are three types of carbohydrates. Starches. Simple sugars and fibre.
The starch comes in the form of cereals, bread, pasta and rice also vegetables and potatoes together with corn.
Now it is easy to see why the suggestion was made but you have to use common sense and realise, yes, if you were to eat, any of these starches in large amounts then there is every possibility that you would indeed have weight gain.
Of course you don’t! Instead you use moderation. A couple of slices of bread per person per day is all that is required, (so you can have your sandwich without worries.) Wholemeal preferably, because it contains the whole of the wheat without anything being taken out or added.
50grams of pasta or rice, a portion per person is more than adequate. Vegetables can come in abundance; potatoes are fat free, cholesterol free and high in vitamin C and potassium. All these supply essential nutrients.
Simple sugars can be found naturally in vegetables and fruit.
Two types of fibre, water soluble and insoluble.
Collectively they supply the body and brain with energy.
Visit my website and buy the book which is informative as well as practical and will take you on a journey of rejuvenation.
