WHY I WRITE FOR CHILDREN
By Nicole Weaver

I believe every child should be treated with the utmost care and love. No child should ever, ever be subjected to abuse. In my book "Marie and Her Friend the Sea Turtle" I purposely wrote the story to portray a loving relationship between Marie and her parents. A child should always be able to have total trust in his or her parents. I write for children because I want to provide positive role models of what a healthy family unit should be like. I have seen too many times how so many children are neglected by their parents. Marie's parents were driven by love for their only child that is why they acted the way they did in the story. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my book Marie and Her Friend the Sea Turtle.

The natural beauty of this beach represents the natural beauty and innocence of all children.

I love to write for children so I can provide them with good wholesome  stories that promote culture and language.  I want to provide my young readers with a meduim where he or she can see themselves as the character.  Not just any character, characters that have morals ,  and are full of  compassion.  Our world is in such dire state right now.  You can even turn on the tv without seeing  some crazy commercials about Cialis or other unfathomable  topics that are too private to be on national tv.  What happened to our morals?  How far will this go ?, How much longer can this trend continue?

Perhaps,  you do not know the answers to the aforementioned questions, neither do I.  One thing I do know, as long as I am alive I will make it my mission to continue to write wholesome books so our children  can at least have  that to look forward to.  I watch very little tv, when I do , I watch old shows like "Leave It to Beaver" ," Bonanza" or other shows  that are not centered around  immoral issues.

I am very blessed that I have the ability to speak four languages fluently, the least I can do is to share that knowlege  to benefit children in a positive way.  If I can make a positive impact on one life, that to me  is huge and that is why I write for children.

Apt and timely questions, mon amie. Your intentions are honourable and worthy. I wish you much love, peace, and success, Nicole.
