HEY JUDGE YOU ARE DEAD WRONG!

After hearing about the judge that refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple, I was somewhat very disturbed. I am in a very happy interracial relationship, have been for 25 wonderful years. Here are my thoughts on this debacle .

It is truly sad that this judge refused to grant  a marriage license to the interracial couple.  His reason is just plain crazy.  Children from all backgrounds can encounter difficulties.  My husband is German and I am Haitian American.  We have three wonderful children .    To assume that interracial children will not fare well is really passing very poor judgement.  Children will do well with  a loving mom and dad that provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children.  I  know of many interracial couples, they have raised  very successful children.

My three children are doing well because my husband and I raised them in a very loving  home.   Marrying some one in your race does not guarantee that your children will turn out to be productive citizens.  It is cheer lunacy to assume that is the only criteria to measure how  well your children will turn out.  This judge in my opinion is a closet racist, he simply can't see that all people are born in the image of God.

My message to this judge is  "Wake up to reality, the world is rapidly changing, America just elected  a biracial president .  Before long  most people will be mixed in some form.    It is high time that all people accept  things for what they are."

RIGHT ON! AND DID YOU SAY...'BEFORE LONG....'? WE, ESPECIALLY AFRICAN AMERICANS, ARE ALREADY 'MIXED' IN SOME FORM OR THE OTHER...SO, IT IS HERE!,..THERE ARE VERY FEW 'PURE BREDS' THESE DAYS AND I FOR ONE, AM GLAD ABOUT IT! GOD'S WAY...IS ALWAYS...THE BEST WAY! WONDERFUL REBUKE, NICOLE....THERE CAN BE NO SUFFICIENT ARGUEMENT AGAINST 'PERSONAL' EXPERIENCE. GOD BLESS AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING. I wrote a novel, which I consider one of my best, called "Margaret and David: A Love Story," and it is about interracial love taking place eighty years after America's second civil war which put the Muslim in power in this country. So you know I have to agree with you wholeheartedly, Nicole.
