is no love like the love of a mother, yet we have over looked the

fact that a father's presence and love can never be replaced. Mothers cannot be to a child what a father is to them, nor can they replace them. Mothers I do not say this with any disrespect but it is God's perfect will that every child should have a daddy! Allow me to share this poem inspired by the pen.  Entitled, " Please Mommy Don't Beat My Daddy Down With Your Bitter Words"

Born into the unknown

Needing a daddy to call my own

And in his eyes I see love and

Admiration...oh mommy please

Don't beat my daddy down

With your bitter words.

Have you forgotten mommy dearest

That God made man to be the head

Of the home, and that he protects

 And covers you and me ?

Please mommy don't beat my daddy

Down with your bitter words.

Speak only words of love

And show him respect he is my daddy

So he would freely pour his love on his children!

Oh mommy if you could only see the love

In his eyes...you will not harm him with

Your bitter words.

Love, honor, and respect him mommy

For he is my daddy.

Please mommy don't drive my daddy

Away...don't beat my daddy down with

Your bitter words...mommy I love my

Daddy!

Heartfelt indeed and these words did make my heart  weep. For there are some mothers who are engaging in these assualts because of hurt and pain being inflicted upon them. Yet it is my prayer on this father's day that God will bring healing and restoration! I pray that husbands and wives would forgive each other. Oh Lord bring healing to estranged relationships, that there will be no more bitter words: so that daddys would not only pour their love upon their children, but that their presence would be consistent and constant in their lives.

In conclusion so many times we have taken daddy for granted too, holding on to grudges of the past. Today is the day to forgive daddy for whatever wrong he has done. It is time to accept, love, and show appreciation to him while he is yet alive.

Think about this for a moment....without your daddy you would not be in this world. Please! Not just only on this father's day but every day show your daddy love and appreciation, that he will know that you love him: for he is your daddy!
