Sponge Crushing and the Pollinator Paradigm

An explanation of the terms "sponge crushing" and "pollinator paradigm."

The term "sponge crushing" comes from the story "Ministry of Morgasm." The basic concept of sponge crushing is that of intentionally stimulating the spongy parts of a woman's anatomy for the purpose of producing pleasure. This practice is believed by some people to be the source of the fabled morgasm experience. The pollinator paradigm is defined as behavior that has evolved, although sometimes not very far, from the reproductive function.

An individual's degree of attachment to either of these approaches could be considered a key defining characteristic of one's sexual personality.

As human sexuality evolves, we may reach a point where the primary concern for a woman considering a male sexual partner will be to know whether he's sponge-savvy, or stuck in the pollinator paradigm.
