“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.” ~Thomas Paine

The majority of U.S. service men & women come from lower-class and middle-class families.  Rarely do the privileged serve their country, especially in times of war.  Most of the minority upper-class actually profit from war while the rest of America pays the price.

It’s time that we honour those who actually give US our freedom!

Perhaps there would be less wars if those who started them (or their children) had to actually fight in them.  What do you think?

"Live by the sword, die by the sword" is a metaphorical expression meaning that living one's life in a certain way will, in the end, affect one's destiny. The proverb comes from the Gospel of Matthew, verse 26:52, which describes a follower of Jesus (identified in the Gospel of John as Peter) drawing a sword to defend him against Roman soldiers, but is rebuked by Jesus, who tells him to sheath the weapon:

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

—Matthew 26:52, King James Version

I am absolutely for military defense but I am absolutely against military offensives which totally disregard international laws and any sense of moral responsibility, like the illegal invasion of Iraq.

If the U.S. wants to be respected as a “civilized” nation, then we must begin to act as such.  Let US be the supporters & promoters of Peace around the world instead of violence.

Please contact President Obama and the US Congress and tell them to Stop pursuing war and Start pursuing Peace.

Too many American lives and too much American treasure has already been wasted in Iraq.  Bring Our Troops Home NOW!
