From a Tehran prison.
The Iranian Government can claim all it wants that their release, today, of Sara Shourd was a “humanitarian gesture” but I do not believe them. She was only released after a ½ Million Dollar “bail” was paid. One does not demand payment of ½ Million Dollars if they are performing a humanitarian gesture. Closer to the truth (I believe) is that she and her two companions were kidnapped by the Iranians and held hostage until their ransom money could be paid.
The Iranian Government is more deplorable than the Somalia Pirates! They call it “bail” but I call it “ransom”. At least the Pirates are honest when they demand money.
If the other two Americans being held hostage are ever released, I’m sure that it will only come about by similar ransoms being paid.
That being said, I urge all American citizens to stay far away from any hostile countries, like Iran! Some stories, like Sara’s, have a good ending. Many others don’t. Why take the risk?

Exactly, we want the wars to end. We want our kids to come home. What can you gain by going to someones country who is hostile? I think however there is more to it than women going hiking.
GOD BLESS YOU
