“If you change your mind, I'm the first in line,
Take a chance on me.
If you need me, let me know, I’m gonna be around,
If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down,
If you're all alone when the pretty birds have flown,
Take a chance on me.
Gonna do my very best, and it ain't no lie,
If you put me to the test, if you just let me try.
Take a chance on me
(Come on, give me a break will you?)
Take a chance on me!”
Abba,
Take a Chance on Me
In our abysmal economy today, not only are numerous people suffering, but thousands and thousands of pets are, too.
As an animal rescuer, I now spend a lot of my time chasing after, rounding up, and trapping abused and abandoned dogs – they are very sadly everywhere today. I also help in local TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Return) of stray and feral cats. There are far too many homeless felines today, and far too many people today are not even spaying and neutering their own cats, which is adding to the horrendous pet overpopulation problem.
There are very sadly far too many homeless dogs and cats today all across America, through absolutely no fault of their own. And we really need many more people today who are now willing to step up for them, by adopting, fostering, and supporting them.
A.D. Member Jasmin Horst Seiler sent me this very creative video from the SPCA in Raleigh, North Carolina. Animal shelters, humane societies, and pet rescue groups all across America are now all overflowing with wonderful animals in need of a home, and all of them are in dire need of more supplies, more donations, more volunteers, and many more people who are now willing to step up, take a chance, and help a loving and deserving dog or cat.
Please watch the marvelous video linked below, and please join us today in Taking a Chance on Helping a Homeless Pet.
You’ll be saving a life, and gaining a marvelous new friend:
“Take a chance on me
(Come on, give me a break will you?)
Take a chance on me.”
