What a wonderful and fun home business opportunity this is. Finding vintage toys is easy if you know where to look for them. Your old toy collection, or your children’s is the first place to start. If it doesn’t have a sentimental value then it could be of monetary value to you. You can always find vintage toys at an antique store, but the most fun is to scour garage and yard sales, thrift shops and flea markets. I often check out garage sales for toys to keep for when my grandchildren visit. Imagine my surprise when I found the wooden blocks I just paid ten cents a piece for, are worth at least 50 cents to a dollar a piece on eBay. If I had only known! I have passed on buying toys that might have made me a couple of extra dollars on eBay.

You might recognize some items on eBay that you already have. You may have enough to start your own store. If not, there are buyers that are in the market for toys that are no longer important to you.
Vintage toys don’t have to be 50 years old. There is a market for die cast cars, children’s cooking utensils, and even a Rubik’s Cube! Some Fisher Price toys that are no longer available are hot sellers as well as some of the early Star Wars figurines. There is a market for nearly any toy you have. Barbies? No need to even go into how huge the Barbie market is. You might be surprised to know that even handmade Barbie clothes are a top seller on eBay.
