It appears the majority of people these days, or at least the DRMG (democrat/republican/media/government) believe that the reason people start businesses is to create jobs.

Weird isn’t it, I always thought people started businesses to make money and as a result of them making money, jobs are created. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Now based on this enlightenment, I think I’m going to open up a store myself.

Let’s see…I’ll hire two sales clerks, to work the registers, a guy or gal to set up and maintain merchandise displays, two stock adolescents; an inventory control person, an accountant to take care of the books, an office manager, two file clerks and a janitor.

Wow…I just created 10 jobs just like that. Now if I can open up another 100 stores across the country within the first year, I’ll have created 1,000 jobs.

What will these stores sell, you ask?

Why dust of course. You see if I bought things, for say a dollar and I then resold them for two dollars, I’d be a Greedy Meany. You know, one of those people who start businesses to make money and end up improving their lives and accidentally the lives of the people around them.

Here’s how my new business will work….

Since I’m not going to be buying anything for resale, where will I get the “merchandise" from, you ask?

Well, I noticed a long time ago, that if you have empty shelves in a store, they collect dust. You can dust off the shelves and within and hour, they’ll start filling up with dust again. Hence, dust is a natural renewable product.

There will be small packets for poor people, that will sell for only ten cents; medium packets for the middle class people that will sell for ten bucks; and larger packets for rich people that will sell for ten thousand dollars….plus… the packets will be made of recycled paper.

The really nice thing is, since the dust is naturally created in each individual store, there is no pollution created by having to have trucks move the stuff around the country.

What about financing, you ask?

Glad you asked that’s an easy one. I’ll just go to the bank and get one of those tax payer guaranteed loans. Then if for some (impossible reason) the business was to fail, I won’t have to pay back the loans.

Now wait a second…If the product you sell doesn’t cost you anything, then you’ll be making big greedy profits, you say?

Well that would be true , if I was actually going to keep all of the money. But I plan on using all of it to go to those $35,000 a plate fund raiser dinners with my employees.

Yes, it won’t be long before I’ll be exporting dust to China and around the world and everyone in the country will have a job. But don’t thank me for it folks, I can’t take the credit.

You see this “administration” in Washington has been working on empty shelves and turning our economy to dust since day one.

Very good similes, John... Amazing how our thoughts and, hopefully, millions upon millions of Americans think the same way... Good one!
