“Where your heart is, that is where your treasure is.”

I woke up early this morning, around 4:00 a.m., with those words ringing in my mind.

In the silence of the morningtide, that still small voice was breaking through my mental, emotional and spiritual ataxia.

“Don’t put your heart into chasing after things. They are illusions, and at the end of that chase what you will be left with is illusion - nothing.”

I know these things. I have known this for a long time. Everything points to this fact and yet… how easy it is to get caught up in the chase.

My chase has been driven by fear. Fear of going without the essentials of daily life. Fear of being poor. Fear of not being able to fulfill my dreams and aspirations. Fear of not being able to enjoy life.

Fear is not, nor has it ever been, a valid emotion on which to base one’s life. Fear destroys. Fear kills the soul. Fear kills dreams.

So what is one to do?

Firmly and confidently plant your heart into the Heart of Mother-Father God.

To firmly do something implies a conscious, intentional act. This morning, in the midst of my doubt, fear and distrust, I firmly placed my heart into the Heart of Mother-Father God. It was a conscious, deliberate action, not a wishy-washy, wait-and-see thought process.

To confidently do something implies boldness and courage. This morning, in the midst of my doubt, fear and distrust, I boldly and courageously placed my heart into the Heart of Mother-Father God. Given time, you will see that such an act has the most signficance when one is facing the challenges of life.

Planting one’s heart into the Heart of God is not for cowards nor for weaklings. It is truly the act of a heroine/hero. Never doubt that when you make such a choice that you are making one of the most profound decisions you will make.

So, today, where is your heart?
