Learning to hope
Hope in its infancy is tentative, but it emboldens the hoper to try. Hope as it grows gives rise to courage leading the hoper to new possibilities. I am a hoper these days, walking in baby steps toward what I contemplate is a more secure tomorrow. The sun rises on each new day bringing new options and greater opportunities to spread my wings and fly.
To fly one must know you have wings, having learned that only recently I stretch out my feathers and test the breezes. The wind holds frightening challenges in its complexity. Trusting in my strength, I learn to ride the thermals practicing my “flying” skills.
Tomorrow holds the key for my hopes and dreams in that I must have faith. Today I look inside and love the woman I am becoming. My strength can carry me forward and my feathers will shine in the suns dawning beams as I soar into that blue sky.
