Since we like to share reviews, here is my latest that I throughly
enjoyed. There is such sincerity and compasssion that you can feel as I did. This one I cherish.
Everett Beal Rph.
From a future author and a writer friend who only needs two items in her life.A shove and a push. She has the talents. ---------------------------------I don’t know if you remember me or not. I met you at your book signing at Belks in Griffin a few weeks ago. I purchased a copy of Southern Winds.I am a descendant of slaves and found your book to be quite enlightening. My emotions were stirred on several occasions while reading this book. I was born in the mid 50’s and was raised just down the road from Griffin.Looking back, I realize I then just accepted life as it was. Though I experienced such things as going to the back door, using separate facilities, and being banded from certain restaurants, I was shielded from a lot still.I had no idea some of the things you mentioned were happening just up the road from where I lived. By the time I was old enough to really care about the things taking place in the world, my school was headed towards integration.I feel that understanding comes when thoughts are communicated and received with an open mind. You said some things that a lot of people feel, but wouldn’t dare speak aloud. Therefore they harbor resentment that eats at them like cancer. Closed-minded people can’t understand anything that goes against their inbred beliefs.I am a firm believer in the moral message of judging people by their character and personality and not by their skin color. I have met with opposition from both the white and black race because of my beliefs. Those who demoralize other people because they happened to be from another race are void of the understanding needed to embrace others. Thanks for your straight forwardness. I gained a lot of insight from reading this book. Ella Flemister And my thanks to you Ella for sharing your thoughts. This my friend is exactly why I wrote Southern Winds, for there are two sides to every story.Wouldn't it be wonderful if every one could sit down by a stone fireplace to embrace my feelings in Southern Winds.Keep writing Ella. Sincerely, Everett Beal Rph
