The aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan has brought destruction and devastation to that country including the leakage from the nuclear reactors. What prayer can I offer? In contemplating this event, I know I must leave behind any fear I have as well as anger. The past is the past and the future is the unknown unless I create it using my mind.
Individual prayer is powerful and even more powerful is a collective prayer or focus. I recall that Dr. Masaru Emoto of Japan conducted experiments with polluted water with great results. What was it that he used? Love – pure love with no conditions. Can we move away from our sphere of fear and anger into a state of pure love?
What is pure love? It has been said that love is the glue that holds the universe together and again, what does it mean? According to quantum physics, love is one of the highest vibrations. Love has no condemnation nor expectations. Love is similar to be at the center of a magnet – meaning no 'rights' and no 'wrongs.' It is we humans who move away from the love vibration when we resent, fear, have jealousy, greed, long-term anger, depression, and prejudices to name a few.
If love has removed the pollution and stagnation from water, then we as people can change our world by taking our focus off of the "ain't it awful" syndrome. I have asked myself what prayer can I offer to those who were taken immediately when the tsunami hit and to those who remain. This is what has come to me.
I bless with love those who were taken up by the tsunami and may each be met by a benevolent being who will guide them on the other side of the veil where they may be renewed in spirit.
I send blessings of love and courage to those who have survived the earthquake - the tsunami, and now are faced with the tasks of creating a new life and to build anew.
May each be healed of the emotional scars.
May each find courage to begin anew.
May each be healed of illnesses and injuries.
May each find laughter and joy.
May each realize that each day they have the gift of life.
May Mother Earth be healed of her wounds and find a greater love and appreciation from all who inhabit this earth.
May all of humanity let go of their fears, their prejudices and judgments and become allowing of the differences between people.
And so it is.
