Birthdays can be so expensive and a lot of work. I know. With 2 kids who have birthdays two weeks apart, a hubby's birthday a month later, mine after that and my oldest in September; it is often difficult to have adequate resources to throw a birthday bash and invite 15 guests, for each child.
Let's Party! Great places for Birthday's
Birthdays can be so expensive and a lot of work. I know. With 2 kids who have birthdays two weeks apart, a hubby's birthday a month later, mine after that and my oldest in September; it is often difficult to have adequate resources to throw a birthday bash and invite 15 guests, for each child.
When my daughter turned five, she wanted a Cinderella party so bad. she begged me for months before her birthday, so I would have everything for the party. The best place I ever went for party supplies was the dollar store or Greenbacks. I found streamers, party supplies, party bags, balloons; everything except the cake and ice cream and all for one dollar each. I then went to Sam's Club and picked out the cake (I can't do homemade) and ice cream and then Wal-mart for the presents. At first, I wasn't sure how much everything would cost, but much to my surprise (and my hubby's) the whole thing cost under $70.00. My daughter had a great birthday with less expense, not to mention a less stressed-out mother.
In my quest to find fun ideas for birthday's, I came across several different places in which to gather fun and inexpensive ideas for your child's party.
Here is a list of great places on the web and near your home for birthday parties, from simple to extravagant.
*Family.com This is a great place for birthday ideas ranging from 1-99. I found several fun ideas that were easy and inexpensive.
*Amazing Moms This is a website that is full of wonderful ideas for any kind of party. Also included are many other resources for great birthday ideas--whether they be outdoor or indoor. Most of these ideas were easy and inexpensive.
*Birthday Party Ideas This is an amazing site with over 100 birthday themes, including games, treats and all-around great ideas for parents. Price range is within reasonable limits.
* Party 411 Now this is a serious party planning site. They have ideas, games, tips, on-line supply shops--even a party girl planner to assist in your preparations. A little more expensive, but definitely extravagant.
* Birthday Express Featured in Oprah's magazine O, this website is filled with birthday ideas. This is a one stop shopping site that will even supply the cake! Some of the things included: games, presents, guide, supplies and a page where you can share ideas with other parents. The prices range from frugal to expensive.
* The Holiday Spot This site consists of party ideas, invitations to print out, themes, recipes and more. Average prices.
*1 Kids Party This is also a complete party store with everything from Thomas The Tank Engine to Barbie. Prices are less expensive than most party places in your city and the planning guide is filled with helpful information and tips.
*Party Perfection Another great place with complete party packages, ideas and helpful tips and information. This place is a little more extravagant.
The best places around my town for birthday supplies is Wal-mart, Target, The Dollar Store and K-Mart. Whether you find what you are looking for on the net or in your home town, your child will remember that special day for years to come.
Good luck and join me next week when I offer some great birthday themes for your child, at any age.
