What draws you to a book and what makes you want to re-read it? What makes a book a keeper on your shelf?

Here are my favorites. The stories are ones that never leave me and I like to revisit them now and again.

Stress of her Regard by Tim Powers. -Vampires or lamia (as Byron calls it in his writings) or the nephelim as Keat's calls them-- these vampires have a taste for the poet's blood. Powers intertwines the works of Keats, Shelly, and Byron into this brilliantly woven tale that surrounds the life of fictional character Dr. Michael Crawford.

Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon- I love the time travel tale about Claire and Jamie's love and adventure. I'm listening to it on Books on Cd right now. I'm on the fourh book--Drums of Autumn.
