Today the flood of information shortens people's attention span and obscures some important facts.
There has been a vast increase in both news and entertainment for modern audiences. This has tended to shorten the attention span of people dealing with the increase of information. It has also made necessary the reliance on other sources to preview and 'boil down' much of the new information.
However these other sources have shown a tendency for the following failures. They have had political bias, incorrect weighting of the facts in the case and the 'fading out' in the news of important facts and observations even when they were correctly initially presented. These facts and observations are then lost in the vast amount of information from all sides.
