Methinks, we need to use our ingenuity!
Is there a possibility of serenity Living in a world run amok?
Becoming a hermit is one way.
If we can learn to do without the electronic monsters that have usurped our will, They are also our best friends if we don't let them possess us.
Otherwise, what choice do we have ?
Methinks, we need to use our ingenuity to find measures of time to break away from everything.
To sit in silence within our own minds, or God's if you are so inclined
It is the only place where you can release the stress and find refreshment from letting go of the tension
There is no need to become a hermit if you take the time to release your anger and frustrations due to the worlds scary scenario.
Sit and discuss things alone! If you do so with others chances are you'll have differences that cause more upset.
There is always time and place for conversation with others to exchange ideas.
However, some things need to be resolved where we listen to our own conscience and inner spirit.
That calls for being alone to come to terms with situations that may have devastating effects on us, and don't need the distraction of others input.
We live in a noisy environment with families , work, and the chatter of the world can become overbearing
If we don't seek ways to alleviate our inner turmoil, we will take it out on others, and may even become ill.
It's amazing how much stress you can relieve in just short periods of time, 15 minutes, every now and then throughout the day can do wonders, if you can't do more.
I think we are heading into a much more chaotic period on this earth than we have ever seen before. I strongly urge you to find your inner strength and learn to use it.
We each have a spirit within where we can find refuge, you need not look elsewhere. Get in touch with your own powers, and you can reverse feelings of fear and anxiety.
There is much complacency in the world today, but it is only a facade behind which many hide their fears.
When we are lost in a forest , and confusion blocks our way we need to stop and get perspective, to map out a plan of action, a way to proceed, not just run blindly through the woods, hoping for luck to get us out.
Since I'm a believer, I think prayer is a must!

No phones, no radios, no TVs. An hour or so alone, can be better then many hours talking. True serenity comes within His Silence. Love this article.

Timely piece with remedies of all our frustration and worries and fear. We all thought that mankind is supposed to get "better," as we evolve. We were duped. With modern technology comes modern crimes of the lowest sort. Thank you for attempting to slow us down, give us insight. I will not work. We pay homage to your sincere and understandable words, but we are all caught up in the moment and really do not have time to reach into ourselves. Were it not true.

We are too busy, fast-paced, to slow down and drink in 5 minutes of serenity, which is better than none. This is a timely and enjoyable read.

Prayer to our God is essential if we are to survive in this world as it now exists. Set aside at least a half hour a day to talk to God and pray for our enemies, our soldiers, our friends and our loved ones and this crazy world. You are on the beam Eileen, Well done.
