CRIME = Martha Stewart in Jail. The good-old-boys do not get PUNISHED guilty of equal or greater crimes -- but the white women and the black males get unjust PUNISHMENT -- WHY -- they just don't know what to do with us! We need a dramatic paradigm shift
across the board of control from the foundation up.
USA needs to update, change, upgrade, modernize everything -- especially laws pertaining to crime and undue punishment.
Well, Martha is there in jail --making Lemonaid out of the lemons -- torn off the good old boys.
10-03-04: The are sending poor Matha to prison. What a disaster of law. Why integrate the Sane with the Insane?
For Punishment of the mind? physical abuse? To encounter the darkside of life? Fine her - prison is NOT FAIR punishment for a $$ crimes. To cage Martha like an animal is cruel and unjustified. Our laws must be updated to this century.
7-17-04: 5 months in prison - EXCUSE ME! Make her pay the fine of whatever she made off the crime! Why put a civilized person in prison for such a insignificant crime? Why not worry about the pedophile priests? Why not spend energy on finding Bin Laden? Why take a good contributor to family living and put her in an environment of criminals? Martha lied! She admitted it! Let her pay financially for a financial crime!
Our Punishments do not fit the crimes!

Martha is a teacher, and true American Asset
Martha shares her techniques and genius with the world
Now - what is prison going to do for her?
What kind of heathenism is this.
Why are the priests being hidden-- escaping DUE PUNISHMENT for their CRIMES -- and not in prison?
Where is Bin Laden?
Where are the terrorist cells located throughout our American cities and states?
Of Course, Gays want to get married -
Martha's internal shame and ruthless press articles should
suffice as punishment enough. The point has been made
Don't take stock tips and lie about it.
Martha Gets It
Giver her a break!
Go for the real criminals: Catholic Priest Frocking Up and Raping our Children and Terrorists and the Good Old Boys who have ruined the world!
Authors Note: I am NOT a Martha Stewart fan nor follower, however I respect her intellect and accomplishments. Her moNOtone voice gets on my very last nerve -- when she is on TV, I am not certain if she is baking a cake, shearing a lamb, making dessert or on safari -- she just always sounds the same to me. MONOTONE......

Just be glad that you didn't buy the shares that Martha Stewart dumped as a result of illegal insider trading tips. You would have lost many thousands of dollars. I presume that you would have a slightly different opinion of her in that case.
I don't see her actions as being much different from stealing someone's car. Or, in her case, stealing many cars from many people, and then lying to the investigators about it. Illegal insider trading undermines investor confidence in the fairness and integrity of the securities markets. If illegal insider trading were allowed to go unchecked, then no one with any sense at all would invest in the stock market. I don't even want to imagine the effect that would have on the economy. Just because she is a brilliant business woman, doesn't mean she should be immune to the law. Don't worry, she'll write a book about it, and I'll bet odds that it will be at the top of the New York Times' best seller list. Slay me, but that's my opinion.

Amen, and three hail Mary's. I don't think those who went after her so strongly would recognize a real criminal if they were bit on the ass.

| I love the magazine cover. My husband works at R.R. Donnelleys. His plant prints Martha Stewart Living. I'm been teasing him about changing the name of the magazine to, "Martha Stewart--Living In Prison." I wrote a poem about Martha Stewart--I'm pretty indifferent about her personally. My poem was really about greed and what it does to people. I think you're right--she is probably being punished enough. The justice system doesn't make sense at all. It's all about politics--the prosecutor in this case probably has political aspirations and is using her big name and fame to advance his political career. |
