A Preacher Knows Failure
There is Silence
Preachers Prayer Dear Father: Please enlighten me with the power to unite the congregation and fill them with the holy spirit to enable them to continue on the path chosen by you. They come for rectification and in your name they seek your word and command. Let me be the vessel to provide words of wisdom and understanding to your flock. Move me and inspire me to speak your words. In my sermon, let their souls ignite in holy fervor and let their spirits fill with joy for you are their hope and my words will convey your blessings and in turn we will praise your glory Amen In this time of mass confusion, terror and fear in the world, more people are attending church to worship and seek peace, understanding and direction. Each church has its routine service and a minister, priest, etc., to guide the worshippers and fill them with hope and understanding. Some preachers are NOT gifted and are weak when they speak the "word." This is unacceptable to the flock. They come to be lifted from the down trodden every day world. They come to seek hope and security and to praise and thank the Lord for blessings or to pray for others or for guidance in their life, etc. When the "word" is expressed and the focus is uplifting -- the preacher has unified the congregation into a glorious worship. When the "word" is expressed without focus -- just read -- there is no lesson -- there is no understanding -- there is no shouting or screaming or praise. The preacher has failed to be a vessel uniting the congregation with the holy spirit and the worshiper leaves unfulfilled Preachers talk directly to the Lord The Worshipers focus in Union To Focus is to Magnify The Vision of the Preachers Dialogue When These Forces Come Together and the Vision is Clarified the words Become a Vision that is understood Then and only then does The Soul Shout and The Spirit Scream Alleluia Praise the Lord - Our God Amen! Amen! The Flock Does NOT come Together To be Admonished Nor to be adorned in Hairshirts Burdened with Rules and Commands To be Blessed to Preach Is to be the vessel Transmitting the blessings to the People The vessel of transmitting Worship and Praise to God Unified, Conjoined and Powerful The spirit soars. If the Congregation does not respond The Preacher has failed to focus and Project the joining of the Worshippers With The Father The Title "Preacher" is a blessing Everyone is not able to communicate in a Spiritual Manner and the Congregation leaves Sunday Service - unsatisfied, unfulfilled -- empty We come to Worship We come to Praise We come to Uplift our Spirit We come to Glorify our God We come to Ignite our Soul We come to fill our hearts with Love We come to energize our focus We come to seek Hope We come to seek Peace We come to feel one with our Lord A Preacher knows He has Failed The congregation does not respond A Preacher knows There is silence

| A well written article, I wonder if we are expecting the preachers to do us somthing? Or should we as the Church learn what each members gifts are so each of us could take our places to fulfil God's plan in the worship-services and in our daily lives? Thanks Karen for helping us think. Keep writing. Love, Mother of the Universe. |
