Librarians, teachers, home schoolers: let me read one of my stories to your keiki and get them excited about reading and writing.
With my visit to your library or classroom, your children will hopefully be more excited about reading and writing. Although kids will have fun, there's a serious purpose behind it too: I was one of the contributing writers to the HCPSII test here in Hawaii and can address such standards as: "Read a variety of genres, Read for literary experience and to develop aesthetic appreciation, Infer ideas from text, Use knowledge of story elements (character, setting, plot), and Differentiate between literal and figurative language. All that good Standards Stuff, But we'll keep it fun, okay?
In keeping with the aloha spirit, I don't charge a fee but would hope a good many of my books will find new homes. I'll ask you to distribute copies of take-home letters so keiki can order my autographed books.
If you'd like more information, you can e-mail me through this website. Just click on the "Contact Author" button at the bottom of the home page.
Hope to see you soon!
