You don't have to be psychic to know that the upcoming James Bond movie, Skyfall, will be the best of the series. Figure it this way:
Academy Award Director Sam Mendez knows how to keep an audience interested. Witness his directed movies: American Beauty and Road to Perdition (with Daniel Craig). The stylized scenes of violence in Perdition were unique and powerful.
A director like Mendez also knows that "If it's not on the page, it won't be on the screen." Daniel Craig learned that making Quantum of Solace.
Craig said; "The script for Quantum of Solace needed a lot of work on it. But there was a director's strike and the only persons that were legally entitled to work on the script were the star and the director. And I'm no writer. "
I'm certain that Mendez didn't start making Skyfall until he was satisfied with the script. Before he took on the project he knew that fans and critics alike will be gunning for him come the November release.
It's not easy to write a great script, but what is easy to do for Mendez, is to lay down the Skyfall script next to the Casino Royale script to see if it has more cool dialogue, more intense action scenes, more 'Bondisms', more story twists, and deeper characterizations, than Casino Royal, before exposing a foot of film.
And you can be sure that Craig double checked the script as well, before putting on his shoulder holster. All this guarantees that Skyfall will be the best of the series.

Today they had the first press screenings of Skyfall. Although the press can't write reviews until it's released. All 20 of the mentions that I read said 'Great' with a couple of them saying 'The best Bond movie'.
Oct. 15: This news release just came in from London:
The latest 007 instalment Skyfall is set to be the most successful James Bond movie in the 50-year history of the franchise and is predicted to rake in more than 1 billion dollars at the box office.
It has been met with universal praise following its preview and is expected to storm to the top of the box office.
Experts said the stunts were some of the best ever seen in a Bond film. One critic wrote that the dramatic opening sequence should merit an Oscar in itself, the Telegraph reported.
