This is one of several true spiritual stories that I wrote for the Psychic Eye-a local magazine.
Do you ever wonder why some people are creative and some aren't? Or why some are gifted at a young age and some are older. It would be my conclusion that it is because we all have guides that help us develop these gifts of writing stories, poems, songs, playing music ,singing, acting, drawing, sewing, decorating, or many other ways. I think it is about what God gave us to work with and our being open to Spirit helping us to use these gifts. Many people feel as I do, and that is, our creativity comes from above.
I learned that creativity has no age limits. I had never done anything creative until I was in my late forties when I decided I was going to write a book about my spirit guides. I had never written anything before that. Not only did I write the book, I self published it also. I know I didn't do it myself, because I had no knowledge of how to go about it. It was easy, once I sat down and started it because my guides helped me with it.
A couple of years ago, I realized that I could write song lyrics. I had never even rhymed a poem before, but one day, I was in my kitchen when it happened suddenly. I started singing a song, and went and sat at my computer and had the song written in about five minutes. I not only could sing it but I got colors and the notes to play it in. I am someone who doesn't know anything about writing songs or music. I wrote two more songs that day each only taking about five minutes. I have written almost seventy since then and know how they are supposed to sound. I know I am getting help from above to acquire this talent suddenly in my mid fifties. I showed some of my songs to some young people who work with music. I sang samples and gave them the notes and colors, and they said that I was singing in the right key. I thought that was awesome. I felt blessed.
ASCAP and a couple of big record companies in California wanted to hear a demo. I found a young man named Shane from the University to help me make the demo at the recording studio there. I explained to him that my songs were a spiritual experience and he was excited because he felt the same about his talent. He plays guitar and can play the keyboard somewhat but admits he definitely is not a piano player. My songs have a lot of piano music in them. When we started working on the three song demo, I couldn't believe the psychic energy in the room and neither could he.
You could tell that Spirit was helping us because the room would get so cold. Spirit seems to work better in cool temperatures. The first day we started working, my guide channeled the music to me, and I was able to put Shane into trance and channel the music to him. You wouldn't believe his piano playing. It sounded like one of the old masters-"Beethoven." It was strange, I was sitting behind him and was able to control the direction he moved on the keyboard. His assistant Matt came in as we were finishing the last of the piano part of the first song and asked Shane what key he was playing in. Shane said he had no idea because he was in trance.
After that, the young men were in awe of the energy each time we worked together. My guide even channeled through me to Shane, the live guitar part, and the other instruments on the keyboard that were added. Their friend Dan, whom I also channeled to, sang two songs. Mindy, a fourteen year old girl sang one song. The demo turned out pretty good. ASCAP in New York really liked it. The young men thought it was really awesome working with my guides and me and said they had never experienced anything like it before.
I must admit that it was a really cool Spiritual experience, and I know I am blessed with much creative Spirit help.
My songs are a variety of styles and sounds. I guess my guide is very versatile.

I relate to this I know we get help from the Spirit world as I have never written and I write now and it is all from God when I get out of the way then the Spirit can work through me and it seems the Spirit has been working through me through my writing so in reality I am not doing the writing the Spirit is I am just the vessel the clay that the Spirit uses. Thanks for sharing your story.

| I identify so much with what you say in this article, Judith. For five years I was a practising lawyer. Then one day, I just gave up. At that point in time. I did not know what to do with my life but somehow somewhere inside me I wanted to write a book. So I began and adventure that lasted three months. I loved every minute of this and in all my life I never thought I would write a book, let alone publish it!! Thank you for sharing your story. |
