...waiting for "Sweet Emotion"!!!, June 12, 2007 |
Completely and Throughly enjoyed this book. I loved the feeling of being "a fly on the wall" and getting a behind the scenes/backstage pass into the personal lives of these characters. I am a shameless romance novel fan and this has it ALL. Anyone who loves rock-n-roll, suspense and ROMANCE should definately pick this up!!!! Definately looking forward to Parts 2 and 3!
Love this rockin love story, June 1, 2007
I would recommend this book for any one who loves rock music combined with a great love story. I truly enjoyed the characters and the events in their lives. Bring on the next one.
All Aerosmith Fans Should Read This Book, May 15, 2007
I totally agree with the other reviewer. Scott the main character is totally Steven Tyler. This book will take you "backstage" into the life of two rock stars. You follow them on a journey as they fall in love and deal with some heavy issues. This book has everything love, music, suspense, sex, romance, and more sex ;) . You will fall in love with the characters in this book! If you love Aerosmith, rock music, or are just a romance novel enthusiast you will love this book. I can't wait to see what will happen next in this trilogy!

Steven Tyler & Bebe Buell based???, April 20, 2007

Sure sounds like it! "Beyond Beautiful" is an Aerosmith song. Bebe Buell's pet name for years has been "Baby Blue". The male "rocker" lives in MA. and in the South Shore no less!! Loosely based on the love story of Bebe Buell and Steven Tyler- that's how it reads anyway. The next book in the trilogy is called "Sweet Emotion"?? I wonder if Tyler and Buell will get royalties, lol!

Romance, Intrigue, and Trauma, January 10, 2007 |
First time author, Jan Bornstein takes the reader on a roller coaster ride in this fictional account of life in the fast lane in the music and entertainment industry. Jan has crafted a composite of star quality celebrities in her main characters, rock stars Jenna Bradford and Scott Tenny. "Beyond Beautiful" the first in "The Song Trilogy" details a year in the life of Jenna and Scott.
A well balanced mix of romance and suspense keeps this absorbing plot moving from page one to the final climax, leaving the reader eager for the upcoming sequel. Deceitful relationships, selfish goals, unresolved issues from the past all add to the difficulty Jenna and Scott are faced with in their struggle to build a relationship of love and trust. A police investigation, physical and psychological trauma, and a predatory press add to the insurmountable pressure faced by Jenna and Scott.
Bornstein is able to convey to the reader the beat of the music, and the perfection of the musicians and song writers. She has the ability to reveal a progression of growth from a shallow one dimensional character to caring, sensitive, believable personalities creating an empathy with the reader.
If you enjoy suspense, drama, and romance you will enjoy "Beyond Beautiful."

Jenna Bradford, daughter of an actor and a model, grew up loving music. She especially loved rock `n roll. Jenna is a successful rocker having built a career and a band. She has won awards and is famous. Scott Tenny had a successful career that was nearly destroyed by drugs and alcohol. He rebuilds his profession and life. When the two collide they have an instant attraction. However there's a problem, he's still married.
Both Jenna and Scott are constantly in the spotlight. Reporters swarm to snap a picture or get a tidbit of gossip. Jenna saw other people, like Derek, a football player. She tried to push Scott away but he persisted. When her father passed away he rushed to her side. His presence helps her to realize that they care about each other.
An automobile accident causes Jenna to lose a baby conceived with Derek. She and Scott are devastated. The aftermath brings forth a nightmare hidden deep in Jenna's soul. Secrets, affairs, nightmares and media all attempt to destroy the love these two rockers have for each other. Can their relationship survive the fishbowl of fame?
"Beyond Beautiful" by Jan Borstein is well written. Ms. Bornstein is a very talented writer. She paints a picture of life of the famous, with the media hounding them. The plot reads like a roller coaster ride, leaving the reader breathless and awaiting the next thrill not knowing whether to scream or laugh. Jenna and Derek are well-developed characters, coming to life before the reader's eyes. The story is one of pain, heartbreak, love and triumph. Readers will eagerly await the next installment. I recommend "Beyond Beautiful" to those that enjoy fiction, love stories and rock `n roll.
