In any endeavor when you receive good fortune it's important to give something back to show your appreciation. I've certainly been blessed as a writer, so several years ago when the opportunity came along for me to buy a website that provided a great service to writers, I jumped on it. It's called Bitbooks-Digital Fiction Links. It's a huge database of published and unpublished writers where they can post links to excerpts from their own works. In the past I had found it quite useful, so I was anxious to see that it remained a viable tool for writers. 
     There is no charge for using Bitbooks even though it takes a good amount of my time keeping it up. It's my gift back to the literary community. If you are a writer I invite you to check Bitbooks out. I think you'll see quickly the value of listing your own works there as it will drive a lot of traffic to your website. Currently Bitbooks gets over 2 million hits per year and for many it is the single largest source of new visitors to their websites.
